Qymira, a multi-faceted multi-media artist born in Hong Kong, raised in San Francisco, and educated in Britain, studied ballet, piano, violin, and singing from the age of three, and became the first violinist in the UK National Youth String Orchestra during her teens.
Qymira's impressive career started with her debut pop single, ‘Satisfied’, which soared to No. 1 on the UK Music Week Breakers Chart. She toured nationally across the UK, performing before tens of thousands of fans. Her subsequent single, ‘Boom Bang Bang’, and accompanying UK tour received significant TV coverage in the UK and Europe.
She then proceeded to conduct members of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and Manila Philharmonic Orchestra for live recordings of her orchestral scores.
Qymira's single, ‘Give It To Me’ featuring Filipino singer, Kris Lawrence, and Brazilian rapper/singer, Duendy Primeiro, charted at No. 5 on the UK Dance Chart. Meanwhile, her 3 singles released on radio in Brazil, ‘Perdão’ and ‘Sun & Sea’ both feat. Duendy Primeiro, and ‘Vem Comigo’ feat. Kaos, all reached No. 1 on the Radio Chart in Bahia. Qymira also performed at the world-renowned Salvador Carnival last year with famed Brazilian artist, Edu Casanova.
Honouring her commitment to the One Gaia Foundation which she founded in 2019 - with the goal to unite children in need through music, dance, arts, and sports - Qymira then dedicated her single in the Philippines entitled “Maraming Salamat” to all children in need.
Subsequently, her singles, “Wait for No One” and “Labyrinth of Life”, reached No. 10 and No. 3 respectively on the U.K. Music Week Pop Club Chart end of last year. And she is currently on tour with the iconic group, “Boyzlife” (from Boyzone & Westlife) in the U.K. and Ireland, with critics touting her as a force to be reckoned with standing shoulder to shoulder with Beyoncé and Alicia Keys.
Simultaneously, Qymira is working on a series of symphonic stage shows. These will see her original works being performed by the Qymira Symphony Orchestra, made up of musicians from symphony and philharmonic orchestras from around the world. Her concept is the first of its kind and promises to be a most satisfying visual and sonic experience that those in the industry have sighted to be revolutionary.
On the cinematic front, Qymira is slated to be in several feature films this year, one of which belongs to the Labyrinth of Life multiverse spanning features, TV series and video game.
